PLEASE NOTE! ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED. PLEASE REGISTER ON SITE SUNDAY MORNING STARTING AT 8 AM!
Welcome to ROC for Kidneys! We are very excited to be partnering with Stokoe Farms to bring you a fun-filled family day complete with a 5k walk/run, a kids fun run and other family activities! Please use this site to register for the run and other fun filled activities! Please note that when you register as either a walker or a runner, you will see a prompt to set a fundraising goal. This is a system default and it is set to $150.00. This is not a requirement! There are no minimum fundraising requirements ... which means there are also no maximums! We encourage everyone to try and raise funds and have fun! But remember...it's not a requirement! The only thing that is required is that you come out and have fun! Here are all the details on the event:
*Check in begins at 8 am with the opening remarks and opening ceremonies at 9 am. The race/walk will begin at 9:30 am. There will be an awards ceremony following the walk/run, with age category medals to be awarded for both men and women. Dress in athletic wear or your favorite costume! Remember...it's a fun run and prizes will be awarded for the best costumes!
* Kids fun run is for those 10 and under and will have a reduced registration fee of just $5. All kids in the fun run will receive participant medals. Regular run registration is $30 and medals will be given out according to age categories.
*Note that this is an uneven terrain. That makes it fun and challenging! Please plan accordingly!
*The event will feature a car show, a vendor marketplace, celebrity appearances and more!
*We will have a kids zone that will feature bounce pillows, slides, a train, animals and more!
*You will be able to enjoy entertainment, food, refreshments and a chicken or pulled pork barbecue!
*A dunk tank featuring your favorite healthcare professionals all taking the plunge in support of patients will be on site!
*We will share stories of hope and inspiration and have a butterfly release, symbolic of the gift of life and to pay tribute to all those that make the gift of life possible
Note: all dinners include salt potatoes, cole slaw, roll and soft drink!
Watch this site for updates! We look forward to seeing you at ROC for Kidneys in support of local patient services including grants that support medical, housing and nutrition needs and our soon to be opening kidney closet!
