Catwalk for Kidneys - Rochester

Welcome to Becky and Kayla's Catwalk for Kidney's page!

Becky says: "My granddaughter Kayla & I are walking the Catwalk for Kidneys for very similar reasons. My compassion for people started long ago as a teenager that has led me to many different outreaches. Human suffering touches my heart in the most profound way. I am honored to be a part of Catwalk for Kidneys and have the privilege to honor my pastor Jeff Guesno of Old Paths Chapel, Who donated one of his kidneys to his mother Suzanne Guesno, in Jan 2016. They are both doing fantastic! I am also walking in memory of my daughter Autumn Lynn who passed away unexpectedly in 1987. In donating her kidneys, she gave life back to a woman who would no longer require dialysis treatment three times a week. My hope is to bring awareness to organ donation and to give hope to those suffering from kidney disease and renal failure. Thank you for your support and donation in  giving to others who are not as blessed as we are."

Becky's grandaighter Kayla is a second year Nursing Student at Genesee Community College. She aspires to become an RN, focusing on infant and pediatric care. Kayla's decision to pursue nursing did not come until about 3 years ago, when her brother was born prematurely and spent 4.5 months in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Golisano Children's Hospital. Kayla says: "I am so excited to participate in this fundraising event as I feel it is for an amazing cause. I am honored to participate in this event with my grandmother Becky Roffe to raise funds and awareness towards this cause! I'd like to thank all of you in advance for your generous donations as they mean so much to everyone touchrd by this disease."
