Zacchary and Ysabelle Tosoc

Catwalk for Kidneys Presented by Macy's

Hi everyone!  Thank you for visiting our Catwalk for Kidneys page!  Ysabelle and Zacchary will be participating in this event on October 28 to help raise funds for the Northeast Kidney Foundation.

Zacchary and Ysabelle are 5 year old twins. Born 1 minute apart, Y and Z as we fondly call them both loves swimming and gymnastics. They are classmates in kindergarten at New Scotland Elementary School. While Y loves to inspire her twin brother by sharing her writing and coloring skills,  Z reciprocates by teaching his twin sister to read. They love books and like any other kids, they enjoy playing together a lot.  They find joy in traveling and exploring. Last spring, they visited few cities in Europe such as Copenhagen, Hamburg, Berlin, Stockholm and Helsinki. They’ve been to the Philippines as well where they met their grandparents and cousins.

Their mom, Claire, works as a Registered Nurse in the renal unit at Albany Medical Center. The twins have aunts who are in the renal fields too, one is a nephrologist and another a hemodialysis nurse.

Zacchary and Ysabelle started community service at a very young age. They received large sum of cash on their baptism that was donated to the Children's Hospital of Albany Medical Center and St Jude Children's Reseach Hospital. Participating in this event is an opportunity for them to raise funds for a great cause.

This is Y and Z’s second catwalk for the kidney foundation.

We hope you will support us by making a donation to this page or by purchasing tickets to attend the event. You can also purchase raffle tickets to win a Louis Vuitton bag! Get the details here!

Chronic kidney disease is a major health problem!  More than 26 million Americans are affected and one out of every three of us are at risk for developing it!  Diabetes and high blood pressure are the two leading causes.  In addition, more than 10,000 New Yorkers are waiting for a life saving transplant.  By supporting this event you are helping local programs and services including grants that assist with medical, nutrition and housing needs; Kidney Club support group programs that provide patients and family members with the tools they need to live positively with kidney disease; clinical, community and patient education programs; school based programs that teach our kids about lifelong kidney health; free community screenings that can identify kidney disease in its earliest stages - when it's most treatable; and healthcare advocacy that has protected access to medications; helped pass valuable legislation that will help improve organ registration in our great state; and so much more!

There are a number of ways you can support!  Please consider making a donation at the link above.  If you are a business and would like to sponsor and gain some valuable recognition for your support, you can find sponsorship information here!  You can also purchase tickets and become part of the encouragement squad for the event!  (Be sure and reference me in the memo section so that your purchases count toward my fundraising goal!)  However you support Catwalk for  Kidneys, know that your support makes a difference and helps those right here in our community fight kidney disease!

See you on October 28!
